About Our
W O R K S H O P S

Educational Settings:

Workshops can be tailor made to suit your needs! The following are options that we have found to be very successful:

Option One:

Seven Sessions of Training/Two Year period

Groups have requested that we schedule two days in a row during the fall semester with a follow up of two days in January/February. These four days allow the group to cover the Conscious Disicipline® Brain Model and the first four chapters of the Conscious Discipline® book. The following fall two more days are scheduled and follow up is done in January/February with a final day of training. This completes the final three chapters in the book. This style of training is highly effective because it allows time for small group activities, discussion and fully internalizing the material. The space between the workshops allows the participants time to go back to their classrooms and implement the new strategies slowly, without being overwhelmed.

Option Two:

Four sessions/Two year period

This option is the same as Option One but the workshops are compacted into one day trainings instead of two days. The training can be accomplished in four full days. The difference is in the amount of time that can be spent with small group interaction and role play. It is still recommended that these workshops be done fall/spring/fall/spring so that time is given for the strategies to be implemented more intentionally in the classroom environment. This option is very useful for school districts wishing to provide this training on staff development days.

Option Three:

Four sessions/Summer

A Monday-Thursday training week can be set up for a district that wishes to have summer training provided for the staff. Although providing training in this way is not ideal for the staff to begin to implement/change slowly...it can be done if the right supports are provided throughout the school year such as grade level training, etc.

Option Four:

Follow Up Support

Sessions are available for grade levels or for individual teachers as needed/requested by administration including classroom observations and one to one consultations.

Of course, other options are available upon request.

Parent Training:
Conscious Discipline® Training for Parents has been very well received. A One Day Workshop scheduled for 9-2 is ideal with lunch for the parents provided by your agency/district. Evening sessions may also be scheduled. Four evening sessions are suggested to cover the material adequately. We recommend the district/agency providing a light meal for parents if the sessions are scheduled in the evenings. Child care should also be considered.

Faith Based Workshops:

Although Conscious Discipline® is a secular program designed for use in the public schools, many faith based organizations such as churches, synagogues, child care centers, mother's day out programs and Sunday School groups have found the principles to be very compatible with the scripture. Peggy often presents in these settings and will coordinate sessions for your group. Contact her through the website to visit with her about the needs of your particular group.

Other Options:

Conscious Discipline® Workshops are effective for businesses, administrative teams and any other setting where people work closely together and the development of good interpersonal relationships is important. Teams of co-workers have found the skills taught in Conscious Discipline® enhanced their work environment-- making it more productive and a more stress free place to live/work each day. Contact Peggy to design the workshop to meet your individual need.

Standard Fees:

$850-$1,000 per day, per instructor plus travel, lodging and meals
The district/agency is responsible for copying all handouts which will be mailed prior to the workshops. Conscious Discipline® books are recommended, but not required, for all participants. Districts/Agencies are responsible for purchasing these books.
For larger workshops or workshops that include teachers of older children and teachers of younger children, two instructors are usually required.

One/Two Day Workshops

If you are interested in bringing a One or Two Day Conscious Discipline® Workshop to your area that is open to anyone who would like to register for it...contact us through the website. One/Two Day Workshops that are open to anyone can be set up with the participants receiving the handouts and a Conscious Discipline® book. The workshop will be coordinated through us and all fees will be handled through us. Sponsors must guarantee a minimum of 100 participants. Normally, two instructors lead larger workshops. We advise that workshops do not exceed 200 participants.

One Day Workshops include the Conscious Discipline® Brain Model, Composure and Encouragement. This is the foundational piece of Conscious Discipline®.

Two Day Workshops include all of Day One...plus highlights from all of the other skills in the Conscious Discipline® Program.
